2007 SEASON

Led by a great qb named brett favre, the packers started off strong winning the first 4 games of the season(including superbowl champs the new york giants and a great san diego team). They finished with a 13-3 record and a solid first round bye. In the divisional playoff game, the packers shut down the seahawks and won the game 42-20.  The following game was the NFC championship game vs the new york football giants. In -1 degrees weather, the packers led at half 10-6. After 4 quarters the game was tied and went into overtime. With 72,000 people in attendence, after the giants missed 2 field goals in OT, in the 3rd coldest game in nfl history, Lawrence Tynes finally finished off the packers with a 47 yard field goal leaving green bay packers all over the world stunned!

2008 PREVIEW

Favre-less the packers seem to not have as great a passing game as last yr, but aaron rodgers has stepped up in times and showed he can lead a team. Playing a strong denver first team defense, rodgers was 16-18 with a TD. At the end of the 2007 season the packers found a strong rb by the name of ryan grant and resigned him to a long contract, and with 3 strong 2nd round draft picks in Jordy Nelson(WR from kansas st.), Brian Brohm(QB from louisville), and Patrick Lee(CB from auburn) i believe the packers have the potential to become a strong team yet.

2008 PREDICTION

Although having a pretty strong schedule with games vs dallas, indy, minnesota, jacksonville, and new orleans....i believe that the packers will have a 12-4 record. Its hard to believe they will give up many pts with there potential top 5 defense. They also have the ability to score pts with there solid WR crew in Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, James Jones, and a new comer in Jordy Nelson. Not to mention the dynomite RB by the name of Ryan Grant...it all depends on how aaron rodgers progresses and if he can stay healthy cause without him idk how deep the packers can be with Matt Flynn and Brian Brohm, both rookies from LSU and Louisville with exactly 0 career starts it might be an interesting season!
