Over the coming days, you’ll start to notice a few changes to EA SPORTS™ Football World. We’re making the site even easier to use and we’re giving you a couple of nifty new features. This is all part of our plans to continually develop the site and make it your favourite place for football gaming on the web.
So, what’s changed?
Real-Life Football News from ESPN
We already regularly update you with news about gaming and the site. Now there’s also a live feed on the top football stories out there, including the UEFA EURO 2008™ Tournament. Instantly updated by ESPN, you can now get your fix of news about the beautiful game right here.
Just click the Football News tab in the News widget to see the most recent headlines and click one to read more.
Featured Blogs
The best blogs we find on the site will now get featured in the Blogs widget on the homepage. This gives a glimpse of the finest blogs you guys are writing – not only highlighting some really interesting views but also giving a great way to catch up if you’re new to the site or you’ve been away a while.
If you feel your Blog is worthy of a place in that list then drop us a line through EA Goal Guru and, if we agree, we’ll put it up there for you.
Don’t worry – you can still search through all the blogs yourself – open the Blogs tab and use the dropdown to sort them however you want.
Video Captions
Want to describe that great replay you just uploaded? Now you can give any of your uploaded videos a caption. This is a fantastic way to make it clear what your video involves and encourage other users to have a look.
To add a caption, just open up the video and type whatever you want into the box above the video.
Forum Links
Live forum updates now pop up in the Forum widget. These list the most recent forum posts – just click on one to read more in the forum.
Friends’ Statuses in the Widget
Your friends’ online statuses now appear in the Friends List widget, as well as your My Friends List page. So you can see who's online as soon as you log in.
Password Help
Forgotten your password? No problem. If you get your password wrong, a new button appears to help you out. Just click FORGOT PASSWORD? and we’ll give you a hand.
Try out our new features and tell us what you think – just add a comment to this article and we’ll check in regularly to see what you’re saying. Enjoy!
Thanks,
The Football World Production Team
