The home nations competed bravely in Battle of the Nations, with every one making it into the top 20 of the Overall Nation table. Here’s a quick run-down of their results (in alphabetical order).

England came in third on the Overall Nation table, just ahead of Italy. They deserved that high place, with great positions on loads of tables across Battle of the Nations. And they took the top spot on the Kick Off (Be a Pro) Nation table!

England’s most valued players this tournament were jonnymufc, who topped the PS3 Euro Online Knockout Cup, LeeNewton13 for high results on the Xbox 360, including second place in Kick Off (Team) mode and hylikor for great results on the PS3. Every player in a team is important though, and we thank you all for all you hard work this month.

Northern Ireland came 20th on the Overall Nation board but came higher than that in most of the individual modes.

Scotland came 5th on the Overall Nation board, just ahead of Germany. They were in the top ten of the Nation table for nearly every mode.

Scotland had some fantastic players. stevetaylor1981 came third on the PS3 Overall board, thanks to third place on the Kick Off (Team) and (Be a Pro) tables and top 20 spots in UEFA Euro 2008™ and Captain Your Country. On the Xbox 360, GSM79 came in at number 7 of Euro Online Knockout Cup and Bomber Broon came in 18th place.

Wales were 14th in the Overall Nation table, ahead of Poland and Turkey. In the individual modes, they were at 9th spot on both the UEFA Euro 2008™ Nation and Captain Your Country tables and 8th in the Euro Online Knockout Cup.

Wales supporter SsS Sasquatch made 4th place in Xbox 360 Captain Your Country and SsS Big Sausage was number 20. Townsy got to 17th place on PS3 Captain Your Country.
