EURO 2008 Quarter Final Round Up
The Quarter Finals of EURO 2008 have now drawn to a close and we were treated to some unexpected results.
Germany managed to hold on against Portugal and book their spot in the Semis. I fancied Portugal this year but you can never write off those Germans! They will now face a suspension hit Turkey. Turkey beating Croatia in what was a very entertaining game.
The Dutch have now been sent packing after failing to beat Russia. They really didn’t look like the same team that cruised through the “Group of Death”. Russia will now face Spain in the other Semi Final. The Spanish were lucky to beat Italy, having to do it on Penalties.
I still fancy Spain from what I have seen, but you would expect a Germany v Spain final now.
Got to say the Russian's excite me now, especially with Arshavin in the team. Difficult one to call for Spain v Russia but I have just got to tip towards Russia. So I am looking forward to a Russia v Germany final on Sunday.
