I'm really looking forward to the weekend. Not only is it the start of the NFL season but there are several games I'm going to be able to spend time with. Be sure to check out pastapadre.com for coverage on Facebreaker and NHL 09 as well as videos from the NBA Live 09 demo.

Facebreaker: Most looking forward to the community aspects of this game such as the character creation and uploading of video highlights. From what I've played so far it is a fun head-to-head game. Hell I enjoyed NFL Tour so I'm open to any game that provides fun.

NHL 09: I'm far from being a hockey fan but Be a Pro mode along with the EA Sports Hockey League may get me hooked. As good as NHL 08 was it just didn't provide lasting interest. With a pastapadre.com hockey club I'll be a lot more involved.

NCAA Football 09: With two online dynasties cooking late in the first season I'll be advancing at least a week for each.

Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise: The sequel to what is, outside of maybe Crackdown, my favorite game of this generation. Far from being a kids game it is much more about strategy and planning. One of the more rewarding and fun gaming experiences I've had in a long time and I'm excited to get back into what looks like will be even better. Online co-op!

Probably about 80% of people in the pastapadre.com NFL pickem took the Giants in the opening game and are now sitting at 1-0. It'll be interesting to look at the standings after week one which is traditionally a tough slate of games to call.

Oh yeah, and go Seahawks!
